Annex D - Opening Test Under Load
This Annex pertains to an opening test under load. The objective of this test is to establish the ability of the ventilator to open and remain open against an applied wind or snowload.
The vent must also reach its fire open position within 60s with snow “tested under the snow load appropriate to its classification and under the specified side wind”
This is achieved by loading the closed rooflight with dead weight. The system is opened and must not show mechanical failure.
